Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or your choice of pasta
Vegetables
  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
Sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil chopped

Method
 

Cook Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Prepare Asparagus
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Add minced garlic and cherry tomatoes to the skillet with asparagus. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
  2. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Pour in lemon juice, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until well combined.
Serve
  1. Garnish with fresh basil before serving. Enjoy your asparagus pasta warm.
