Ingredients
  

Chicken and Seasoning
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa mild or spicy based on preference
  • 1 cup chicken broth
Taco Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños optional
  • 8 pieces taco shells soft or hard

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the chicken.
  3. Pour the salsa and chicken broth over the seasoned chicken.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
  2. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the juices in the crockpot.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Fill taco shells with the shredded chicken.
  2. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños as desired.

Notes
