Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- In a bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients.
- Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, coating them evenly.
Cooking
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up.
- Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.
- Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and return to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should be at least 190°F (88°C) for tenderness.
Serving
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
