  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients.
  4. Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, coating them evenly.
Cooking
  1. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up.
  2. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  4. Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.
  5. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and return to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Check the internal temperature; it should be at least 190°F (88°C) for tenderness.
Serving
  1. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
