Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fig and Walnut Mixture
  • 1 cup fresh figs chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped and toasted

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
Mix in Figs and Walnuts
  1. Once the base is chilled, fold in the chopped figs and toasted walnuts using a spatula.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours until firm.
