Ingredients
  

Turkey Burger Patties
  • 1 lb Ground turkey Preferably 93% lean
  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs Optional for binding
  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For grilling
Toppings
  • 4 slices Cheese Cheddar or your choice
  • 4 buns Burger buns Whole wheat or regular
  • 1 cup Lettuce Shredded
  • 1 tomato Tomato Sliced
  • 1/2 cup Pickles Sliced
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Mustard

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  2. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  3. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute.
  2. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun and adding lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard as desired.
